25? I don't remember, it's been well over a year. At least half of them at any time were so inactive that they didn't count at all, though, and I was just an underling. You got to have a power chain.

And since I know where this is going: Yes, they have quite a few more people than we do. But, if you'll glance over their forums, they are also terrible, and I do not know what possessed me to be there for almost 5 years now. Jesus, I just realized I'm coming up on five years. Good lord.

Henry. Yeah, catching artists like that is always fun. Although I'd rather do it with someone like Torman Maxt . Actually we did it over skype and I saw him look off to the side so I think he wasn't paying attention

just out of curiosity, what don't you like about them? I'm not trying to say "zomg, best band ever, y u not liek them??" but I'm just wondering.
Well it wasn't just that he wasn't paying attention, but that rambling response the word symphonic. I've had that moment before. ;-) I would like to nail Torman too. I almost feel sorry for them, we bite the hand that feeds. ;-)

Eh, I find their sound dull and annoying. Why? I don't know, it's like they're trapped in the '90s, but in the '90s they were trapped in the '80s. I doubt that makes sense. All I know is that when he starts sings, I cannot resist the impulse to close the window.

Well, that's all good. Personally I really like their latest two albums, I've been spinning them non-stop! Listening to Narrow-Caster right now, but to each his own .

The symphonic ramble was fun

Bungie doesn't exactly look like a forum board I'd see myself lurking, let alone being a registered member for lol.
Active or not, 25 mods is a lot of mods for a forum.
Even some of the bigger forum boards I go to, only have usually about 5 mods, 10 at most.
Heh, we have 6 mods at PA, but Jody has been pretty inactive.
And 2 webmasters, one of which I've never even seen post on the forum boards ever.

Maybe he does webmaster work, maybe he doesn't, I have no idea.

Graphix and M@X.
Graphix is the guy that is seemingly invisible on PA. Hell, I'm not saying he doesn't do his job, but man, actually being able to contact him in person would be a real bitch.

Yeah, Bungie.net is a lot bigger than probably any other forum I've been to, and, more importantly, it's more full of idiots with free time, so it requires a lot more maintance, and the fact that nobody really wants to do that maintance adds to the numbers. They add 6-8 more mods every 6 months to a year. LOL

As for joining, well, you see, you are not a 14 year old with aching amounts of free time trying to stand out among the rabble of retarded 13 year olds so as to gain some place on the social heirarchy!

The mods here are much more active though. It's fairly rare to see them post outside the website subforum on B.net, and even then it's only a few of them that bother. The rest either don't post or respond to more of the endless Community Forum whinings about various things. The Webmaster there is much more involved, though; then again, he is getting paid, unlike Max.

And I was by far one of the most active moderators, possibly the most at many times, logging such huge amounts of time that even the 45 pages of new threads per day Halo 3 Forum slowed to a crawl for me. And since I was bored, but also unable to leave, I made my reputation posting in the Off-Topic forum that so few moderators even bothered to scan. And since their usual topics got boring very quickly, I became the moderator who would post in every thread about music, almost always to criticize your taste in. Cool

oh my that was revealing.

Oh, and you probably didn't play Halo. That would be another incentive. I ended up liking Myth more, though.

So the lessons from the above post are: do not get Henry talking about himself, and please pretend that you do not think Henry has not changed, or he will feel very bad about himself and be listening to Ulver at 3am again.

The really sad thing is that I was there (even after I quit) and here and other places when I was at college, instead of being with friends. Or doing work. And now I'm here again. :(

45 new threads a day.....all I can say ........f**k that's a lot.

And yeah, I don't game at all anymore to be honest, don't even own a game console and all I have is a gameboy emulator on my PC.
The time which would be spent gaming goes towards guitar/theory study nowadays.
