i'm not a big Echolyn fan, though some of it's very good. however, I've really enjoyed the little i've heard of Finneus Gauge - excellent guitar and drum work, too.

The final show before the usual Christmas break for 4 weeks, will only feature covers! So if you fancy your favourite cover of a jazz  blues, folk, rock, prog rock, etc. tune, let me know and I'll try to include it.

Several examples of work/collaborations during  the show: Finneus Gauge, A Triggering Myth, Hand Farm, McGill Michael Manring & Vic Stevens, McGill & Percy Jones...... The latter's recording is only available as MP3s, although a CD is in the can intended for new year release.

good evening  Dick!

i am, in fact, listening from my office while i work away. that opening track kicked serious butt Thumbs Up

and thanks for the lovely intro to this one - it's been about 30 years, actually (1977), if you can believe that,
since i started the PP project. YOWZA.

this track is indeed comprised of all first takes (done while B.Sue was in the bath - a regular occurrence LOL). it's a tribute to Joe Zawinul (and by extension Miles). just fyi.

i hope you've had a great day, sir.

and hi to everybody here (all two of us)...

Scott's the guitarist then, eh? very nice - sort of a Holdsworthy flavour to his sound.

how are you going to broadcast your phone chat? just curious...

I either phone  the interviewee - but only allowed to make UK connections, or the musician phones in and I link his phone into our desk. Scott has a very cheap broadband phone so volunteered to ring in.
