I'm not voting yet since i've only heard: - Brittish Steel
- Point of Entry
- Screaming for vengeance
Plus some songs from: - Sad Wings of Destiny
- Defenders of the Faith
- Jugulator
- Angel of Retribution
So... VOTE!

I had a cassette of SWOD that was an absolute piece of crap so I have never heard the album in a good format, but even then, it was awesome. Of course I stopped listening after Defenders because I reached my twenties and outgrew them. Nostradomus sounds intriguing however.

Sin after Sin. First one I heard, and Starbreaker has one of the greatest choruses EVER.

Sad Wings of Destiny is the best Heavy Metal record ever made. Absolutely perfect in every respect.

Stained Class's the one, one of the most important metal albums. Have to say that SWOD and Sin after Sin come mighty close though. Sinner and the title track of Stained Class are my favourite JP tracks.

Sin After Sin, Sad Wings of Destiny, Painkiller, Killing Machine.
I was rather disappointed by the likes of Stained Class. It didn't do anything for me. Seemed like more of an awkward transition album.

The Song Lochness from "Angel of Retribution" is also awesome. And those of you who think that "Unleashed in the East" is the best live album: HAVE YOU HEARD "Made in Japan" by Deep Purple!!!???

I'd say that Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin After Sin, Stained Class and Killing Machine are the truly essential albums. I love them all equally (but Stained Class deserves a special mention for it's brutal heaviness and straight-forward power. Just...metal). I also have a strange relationship with Point of Entry, a rarity in the Priest discography, with a whole new sound for much of the album. Never really cared that much for British Steel, and while the rest of the discography (not including the Ripper years) features some of the best NWOBHM (or metal for that matter) ever written it also features a lot of duds. Avoid Turbo and Ram It Down. They're quite good when you're really drunk though

I think Ram It Down is a good album, or at least worth it just for Blood Red Skies and Hard as Iron.

Or if you're one of the cynics, 'Unleashed In The Studio' (nasty people, cynics ); to my mind, the only problem with this album is no version of 'Starbreaker' or 'Beyond The Realms Of Death' - otherwise, the perfect heavy metal live album |
There are a reissue than contains Starbreaker and Hell Bent for Leather for your pleasure.
But i have to say something about the UITE is know for all that that album has overdubs made in the sutdio, well in this year i listen to a live record of that tour, and they almost played the entire set (Plus Beyond the Realms of...) and is very close to UITE.
