Damn, Gryphon should be higher on my last.fm but they should have made more albums. I usually listen to Red Queen all the time and it only has 4 tracks. Tangerine Dream also should be higher.

I know that you've been using Last.FM longer than I have, but my numbers are embarrassingly low in comparison to yours. I have no bands in the 1000 range (although I expect Rush to be there before the end of the year), and only one other band over 300. I have over 1000 artists listened to though, so my listens are just spread really thin over many bands.

Yeah, my numbers have gotten quite high so that it's hard to even get bands near the top 50 unless I listen to them alot. It has been nearly 3 years though, and I'd say overall they're pretty accurate of what I have listened to in that time. My plays are currently spread over about 150 artists, though I have quite a few in my possession that I haven't even heard yet. It'll only keep getting larger in that regard. But I think it's because I hate the whole idea of listening to an album once by an artist, then moving onto a completely different album and only listening to it once, and so on. When I really like an artist, particularly one I just discovered, I tend to fixate on them on and off for a while. It all depends on my mood.

Most of my listening occurs at work on my iPod, so there's really no point to having a last.fm

Many people use their iPods almost primarily for scrobbling though. You can transfer them over.

You can scrobble your iPod to your Last.FM account. That is what i generally do. I have a smaller iPod, so I might have 200 to 250 songs on it, and once I finish listening to that batch of songs, I hook it up to my computer at home and it scrobbles the songs to Last.FM.

I always thought that was pretty neat. I don't have an iPod though, so songs that I listen to on the bus to and home from school don't get counted and also when I listen to music on the stereo in the basement. But... it doesn't really matter since nearly all my music is through the computer.

Hmm. Maybe I'll look into it. I think I actually have an account, but it's been inactive for years.

Plus I keep hearing them sing things...
Such as:
Don't mention it Grab another beer
I didn't know Kobaian sounded so English!
Oh and I also love the subtle brass section too.

"Don't mention it" I totally know what part you're talking about. Sometimes I swear they're also saying "Mississippi"
