I would answer but I don't remember the songs that go with these titles.

I'll listen to the album tomorrow and answer then.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Today was my last day of school for the week because of Thanksgiving... so I'm pretty free over the next 6 days. I'm really happy about it, but simultaneously I feel conflicted.

Ooooh, I know that album really well and it's one of my favorites.

Eriatarka for me though.

See, I would have said that too, but every time I listen to "Televators," I get chills, the same as I did when listening to "Eriatarka."

Yeah De-Loused is certainly a really good album.

Ok, I'm really tired and that rarely happens.

I'm heading to bed right now.

Bye people.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

You know, De-Loused in the Comatorium would easily be my favorite album by this group if it weren't for "Tetragrammaton."

How wrong is it to base one's opinion of an album on a single song?  I mean, I judge Tarkus by "Tarkus" as well as other albums similarly.

LOL

I agree 100% with that one. Tetragrammaton is just too good.

It's not wrong at all. If the song is really that amazing, then who cares? It's your opinion so you can judge it how you want anyway.

My favorite is Bedlam, then De-Loused, then Amp, then Frances. I'm a TMV fanboy though and all 4 are amazing.

Well, I could say that their most recent album is my least favorite, but in all fairness, I have not given it enough attention as yet.

Francis the Mute and Amputechture I bought at the same time, under the impression that I would never like The Mars Volta.  I'd heard them so many times, but I think there's something to be said for hearing an album on your own speakers as opposed to the headphones to sample music at the store, you know?

Anyway, "Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus," "The Widow," "Tetragrammaton," and "Meccamputechture" are responsible for getting me into The Mars Volta.

Yes, I seem to be in the minority when I say that Bedlam is one of my favorite albums ever. I'm not entirely sure why though...

Yeah, I agree with you there. Plus, TMV albums tend to be growers anyway.
