Awesome. ![Clap Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif)
Make sure to tell how it is!

It's just the studio albums, but all in nice digipaks with an exclusive "rarities" CD and big biography, one very cool Christmas present. ![Big smile Big smile](smileys/smiley4.gif)

Hmm... sounds interesting. I still have absolutely no idea what I want for Christmas, and my dad keeps asking because he hates waiting last minute.
| I remember the year I told my parents I was really getting into Genesis.
I got Phil Collins's Finally- The First Farewell Tour DVD.
I haven't watched it yet.

Lmao. ![LOL LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) Thankfully, my dad was the one who got me into Rush, Kansas, Yes, Supertramp, Genesis, Styx, etc. so he knows my taste decently well. It's the most obscure stuff he doesn't know as well, but that's understandable.

Tell your dad to get you the HC box for Christmas. That's a no brainer, and it's expensive enough to justify it being the only gift. Shopping complete.

| Well, see- my dad got me into prog rock. He just doesn't know it.
See, he used to play "Dust in the Wind" on the guitar when I was growing up. He told me it was by a band named Kansas. I thought it was a pretty folk song, and one day I bought the CBS release, The Best of Kansas (the old one).
That's when I heard some really weird crap.
A year or so later, my friend loaned me his Live at the Whiskey CD because I mentioned I kind of liked Kansas. That was when I heard "Miracles Out of Nowhere." Thence did my progressive rock love begin.

She's actually pretty frugal on the whole and doesn't do that very often...but still, guys can't wrap their brain around this "shoe" thing.

I pay roughly $20 for my shoes.
Hell, they're meant to be worn on your feet and replaced. ![LOL LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif)

I bought my first pair of new shoes in over five years just two months ago. My wife has bought more shoes than I have um...er....Kansas albums, since then.

I thought about that, but I haven't researched enough on the box set. Exactly what is in it? Is it all new material or all live or old material or what?

Just 13's
I buy racing shoes but they are too comfy so I wear em when i'm at the track and during the week so I wear out the slick soles in a couple months. I go through about 2-3 pairs during the season and one pair during the winter.

All completely unreleased material, including a DVD concert when Dagmar was with the band, so you can see "Living in the Heart of the Beast" performed live!

Freaking sweet. I wrote a review of it that I put somewhere on this site if you want to look for it. Also, you happen to be listening watching what might be a Christmas present for me. ![Big smile Big smile](smileys/smiley4.gif) How is that DVD so far?

That's neat. I still remember the day I fell in love with music. I had just turned 13 and my dad kept insisting that I hear some Rush because I was starting to get into listening to music (they are still his favorite band ever). He pulled out the only ones he had on the computer at the time which were Signals, HYF, GUP, and Power Windows. I listened to two tracks, they didn't catch me right away... and I decided to give one more a chance. So I went with "Red Sector A". And that's what got me interested in hearing more Rush, believe it or not, though not immediately. I just remember thinking about the song the next day and I was intrigued. That's when I was researching, saw that he had uploaded 2112 for me, and when I saw that there was a 20 minute track I couldn't believe it. That opened the door, pretty much. I listened to nothing but Rush for 5 months.
