This is something I don't like about The Beatles. Well , not exactly them but all the hype they have earned. Most of it is deserved , though. For example , today a newspaper in my country had a big article about the White Album's 40 th anniversary , they refered to it as "the album that changed the history of popular music". It was quite ankward since last year they came out with a similar article saying that Sgt Pepper changed the history of popular music.
What is it gonna be for next year? Abbey road , " the album that...."
By the way , the beatles did not pioneer folk rock in any way. What's next?: The beatles , Zeuhl pioneers??

Occasional country and folk songs?? Yes. |
