Here in CT it's basically, "Oh, you extremely liberal? Here's a few more EC votes". Today in Gov class I had to write a report on why LBJ's "Daisy" commercial was a good advertising strategy and it absolutely killed me. The irony of it all, I read my paper wearing a "Goldwater '64" tee shirt...

I hate the two party system.
Different shades of sh*t is what it is. |

LBJ's only comeback throughout the whole campgain was Goldwater's nuclear testing policies. No matter what the issue was it always went back to the bombs. I tihnk America stood to benefit greatly from Goldwater, and I think there would have been a lot less American lives lost in Vietnam had that administration taken charge instead of LBJ's.

Yeah, pretty much. And then it's not like we have alternatives since we've effectively eliminated the chances for a third party to get a foothold in our political system. Washington was right; political parties are pretty much just "factions" and don't do us any good. Sure, not everyone's going to agree on every issue, but we don't need to throw parties into the mix. |

Nice review dude.
Good album too. Bleed is insanely cool. If you want, I can find a link of some guy that can play it literally note for note, coolest thing too is that this guy that uses one of the same forum boards as I do. Awesome video, and demonstrates how truly fierce the song is to play on guitar. |

I agree. Vietnam was easily a war we could have won, but then the politicians got involved and told the generals that they couldn't do things such as send troops into Cambodia through which the Viet Cong would go through to attack us and then retreat into it. If we could have pursued them and not had politicians running that war, I think we would've won it. |

The left hand isn't too busy, but mother of lord, the right hand technique you need for this song is beyond virtuosic. You can literally cause yourself an injury if you don't get a song like this 100 per cent perfect technique wise, that's how demanding it is. |

I tend to semi-disagree...it's not impossible to get a decent third party operation up and running due to the two-party system, the ballot restrictions are mostly to blame. It takes so much time and money to get on the ballots these days that you basically have no time left to campagin. Had Perot, Anderson or even Nader been reserved a spot on the ballot the outcomes might have been tipped more slightly in their favor. Now I'm not saying I think it is likely that Nader can win the White house, but hey, Perot beat Bush in Maine and Clinton in Alaska so it is entirely possible that we can see 3rd party politicians in major seats in this country. Wasn't Jesse Ventura Reform party anyways?
