You're right.  Did you see the dates for Saga's "world" tour?  About 3 dates in North America, a few dotted around the rest of Europe and then about 165 gigs in Germany!!!!

I did see the dates.  Last December they actually played some of the final shows with Michael Sadler in Ontario, Canada.  I seriously considered going, since they would have only been a couple of hours away, but I got busy and kind of forgot until it was too late.   That and the whole issue of crossing the border into Canada and the possibility of the US not letting me back in.  After all, my name appears to show up on all of the "pull aside and test" lists at the US airports, they are probably looking for me at the borders too.

^ It might be my beady eyes that would prevent them from letting me back in the country.   That, and THE MAN trying to eradicate the listening of progressive rock music in this country.  I'd be one less that they'd have to deal with.

It's actually a vinyl collection of their first 3 albums. just thought I'd crack it open to get to Caress of Steel. The Fly By Night I listened to this morning is in the package, but I used my dad's old copy instead. I have 3 copies of Fly by Night Big smileBig smileLOL.

The Avatar? Anyone who tells me where it's from gets hugs and hugs and hugs Wink

A shout out to, and a first listen of some Michigan prog:

ACUITY: Skyward

This is a one-man project by Bradley Styes.  I purchased this at the Discipline/Matthew Parmenter/Ryan Parmenter gig on Sunday.  According to Matthew Parmenter, Bradley was there helping them out at the door.  Also, track 5 Cul-de-Sacs of Venus includes Matthew Parmenter playing violin.

I should also mention that E-Dub should track this down if he doesn't have it.  If nothing else, so that he can play track 4 titled "Milwaukee" for his out-laws.  It clocks in at 22 minutes, but it is kind of on the metallish side, and although he is not mentioned it seems to be about Jeffrey Dahmer.

And if that piqued anybody's interest, samples can be heard on CDBaby here. http://cdbaby.com/cd/acuity

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Jared, I haven't heard that one yet.  I hear that it is more thrashy though.  Is that correct?
