Today I added a duo album from Allan Holdsworth with Gordon Beck: "With A Heart In My Song", but I made a mistake: in the title I should have added: "(with Gordon Beck)", like has been done with the album "The Things You See" (from 1980).

It's only a minor error, but I recently added Koenjihyakkei's newest DVD to the archive, but under musicians, after "Tsuboy Akihisha", I forgot to add " / violin", and can't edit it myself Embarrassed. Here's the link:

Well I added All of Steve Smith`s Vital Information and wrote the short bio. Hasn`t anyone here heard of this guy. He`s ranked in the top 25 drummers on the planet has played with hundreds of artists including 7 albums with Journey. This inferno of talent sounds nothing like Journey though. Check it out if you haven`t already done so. I`ll try and get some reviews in myself but man, you guys gotta check him out. Just go to his website and you can get to his myspace from there to hear some samples.

I added Steve Howe Trio's The Haunted Melody under Steve Howe.  I figured that Steve Howe's Remedy was listed under Steve Howe, so this would be OK.  http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=20556

I just added the Breton pioneers Tri Yann, all their studio albums and a few live albums.  They have dozens of compilations...feel free to add if you have any, or contribute track times as most of those are not available.  I myself only own a few of their albums.  I will have a couple of tracks uploaded shortly.  Please listen and review

I added a new live album from Secret Oyster titled Live in the USA 2007.  http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=20841  I wasn't able to find a definitive band lineup for this show so I left this information blank at this time.  If anyone happens to know this information please let me know and I will update the album.

Thank you,

Scott

While not a Journey fan, nor an admirer of Smith, I have known for years that he is very well regarded among drummers.
Drum and percussion mags used to regularly spotlight him during Journey's radio reign. And I still see the occasional mention in the more "serious" music mags/media.
But then, he shares that undeserved obscurity as Jeff Porcaro, Toto's drummer, due to the fact that they were cursed with playing in popular bands.
Steve Lukather also is bedeviled by this same affliction. Very few Rock Superstars get away with their media image intact, Andy Summers being one of the few.

"Here I am talking to some of the smartest people in the world and I didn't even notice,” Lieutenant Columbo, episode The Bye-Bye Sky-High I.Q. Murder Case.

The Bridge of Light
