I only care about my instant feelings and urges. It's the only thing, when I truly look down upon it, that affects me in some way.

For some reason it's always intriguing for me to hear about aspects of your personality like that, because somehow you're individualistic but it's a perspective that is so unfamiliar to me that I'm interested to figure out what's behind all of it. We truly are opposites nearly all of the time, yet I still manage to get along with you relatively well.

Restraint of feelings and urges is necessary. I express myself in the right method, at the right time, and in the right place. Otherwise, I most oft restrain any purely emotionally-driven urges because it is my highest rational benefit. I act as often as possible in accordance to my rational satisfaction, as opposed to emotional. For example, I never feel sympathy. I may feel empathy if I truly can relate to someone, but I never feel sorry for anyone else because there's no reason to.

I'm not pessimistic at all; I rather think of myself as an optimistic realist. I see everything rationally and through my own lenses. I don't care about society in general not because I think society is corrupt but because I have no reason to care anyway. I live my life for myself because that's what I want--and I can't understand how anyone could ever do anything else.

That album is a 6 out of 5 stars. All their albums are.

Half Asleep, Half Awake is one of my all-time favorite tracks.
