Morning Antoine.  I was flipping through the channels the other night and was greatly disappointed in Def Leppard.  They were performing on the country music channel with Taylor Swift.  Dead  Country music is one form of music that I just can't stomach, especially the modern crossover pop country that passes as country music today.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Smile Hey, Bernie mon ami, check out these, especially Diamond Head, 801 Live and Listen Now:

Diamond Head (1975 - re-issued with bonus tracks 1999)

The beginning of a solo recording career based on a desire to explore my music with the help of friends. Features Brian Eno, Robert Wyatt, Andy Mackay, John Wetton. Now available on CD.

To buy the new 'Diamond Head' click
here.

Listen to Robert Wyatt sing
'Frontera' in RealAudio.

Diamond Head

New Diamond Head
Quiet Sun Mainstream (1975 - reissued on CD in 1999))

The group I was in before Roxy recorded at the same time as Diamond Head with assistance of Eno. Melody Maker record of the month. Now available on CD.

To buy the new Quiet Sun click
here.

'Mummy as an Asteroid, Daddy was a small, non-stick kitchen utensil' in RealAudio. Bill Mac still doesn't know where that title came from.

Quiet Sun Mainstream

New Quiet Sun
801 Live (1976 - reissued with bonus tracks 1999))

An experiment for 6 weeks: with one gig recorded at Queen Elizabeth Hall in September 1976. Features: Brian Eno, Simon Phillips, Francis Monkman, Lloyd Watson and Bill MacCormick. Top Ten import in the US for over a year after release.

Tapes of the band's first ever performance at a small venue in Cromer, Norfolk have recently been discovered. Expression Records are looking into the possibility of releasing these tapes.

To buy the new complete '801 Live' concert featuring two extra tracks, Eno's 'Fat Lady of Limburg' and 'Golden Hours' click
here.

801 Live

New 801 Live

Listen Now (1977 - reissued with bonus tracks 2000)

More songs with the MacCormick brothers and help from new friends Kevin Godley and Lol Creme from 10cc. Other guest musicians include Eno, Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention), Francis Monkman (Curved Air)

To buy the new Listen Now click

Written with Ian MacCormick (author of the Beatles book 'Revolution in the Head'), '
That Falling Feeling' is the last track on the album.

Listen Now

Listen Now -re-mastered with 3 bonus tracks

Diamond Head hasJohn Wetton & Ian McDonald (Crimson), Andy Mckay & Paul Thompson (Roxy Music), Eno, Rhett Davies, Robert Wyatt & Eddie Jobson and more,  among the prog world notables. a great album, and long a fave of mine. I first bought it in 1975, when I was in grade 10.

Listen Now features Eno, Jobson, Simon Phillips (session drummer par excellence -- was on Mike Rutherford's Smallcreep's day, & many more), singer Tim Finn (Split Enz), Mel Collins (Crimson), Kevin Godley & Lol Creme (10CC studio wizards),Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention drummer), Francis Monkman (801 Live e-piano & synth man), and others.

Great CDs -- I think they are essential 70s prog! Cool
