There's even a label called Pickled Egg Records - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickled_Egg_Records
I've got Fulborn Teversham's album and it's a very enjoyable sort of jazz/punk/RIO hybrid.

That's probably 122 tracks, but why not? They're the mutts nuts, although I take it you do not share this opinion?

^^ that's the overriding feeling a lot of it gave me, tbh... pretty cheesy I'm afraid.

I borrowed it off Sleeper recently to see what all the fuss was about, and all I could say after 3 listens, was thank God I didn't buy it...LOL

I did manage to find it a 2nd star, however...Wink

I rather like The Dear Hunter - though I doubt I'll still be enjoying it by the end of the hexology, whenever that may be (I'm guessing 2013).

FFFSSSSTTTTT (noise made by an angry cat)AngryWinkLOL!!!!

Was thinking of you earlier on, Dean, while listening to The Cure's Pornography, which I bought yesterday. I suppose they are one of your favourite bands... Great album, btw, and I'll definitely get others. What can you recommend?

Pornography was the last of three dark Cure albums, the others being Seventeen Seconds and Faith. Seventeen Seconds is a particular favourite of mine as it conjures some good personal memories of that time (when Debs & I first met Big smile). Pornography is also linked to Disintegration and Bloodflowers as a sort of trilogy that typifies The Cure. All 5 albums are recommended as being my kind of Cure. (I'm eagerly waiting for Amazon to deliver their latest... Ermm make that impatiently waiting...).

The Cure are one of the few bands where I'd actually recommend a compilation - Standing on a Beach/Staring at the Sea is an excellent retrospective of their first ten years and includes the poppy singles such as Love Cats and Let's Go to Bed as well as all the b-sides that never appeared on album (it was also released on VHS, I don't think its seen a DVD release yet).
What?

It's strange...my Bro In law tried to get me into Savatage a few years ago...lent me several albums... Gutter Ballet & stuff. I seriously could not understand what all the fuss and hype was about...REAL 2nd Division (to use your term) mediocrity, imho...and if you ask Steve (Progmetalhead) he agrees with me completely..LOL

I believe you said you went to ProgPower UKII?  Well, I left after Kamelot...Wink
