Ok.  Just got finished listening to the "new" Trespass and thought I'd share the experience.

Got the new boxset two days ago.  Already listened to Foxtrot, but was in such a state of ecstasy, I was remiss in sharing the pleasure.  And no, I haven't listened to the bonus disk yet.  This will be the first new Genesis I've heard in over 10 years, so I'm trying to savor the moment.

Anywho, on to Trespass.  As the rest of the albums they've redone in this series, these aren't just remasters but remixes as well.  However, of the albums I've heard redone (still haven't listened to NC, SEBTP or TLLDOB), this is the only one that sounds almost like they actually rerecorded the album.  Or, more likely, used a different master for this version than they did for the original.

Looking for Someone - The guitars are definintely more upfront and this sounds for some reason, much harder than the version I heard not that long ago on my original copy of Trespass.  However, I like it!  It sounds good this way.
White Mountain - This one, the tempo on the "chorus" sounds much faster than I recall from a few weeks ago.  Not sure I like that.
Visions of Angels - Ok.  This one sounds like the original.  Just cleaned up.  Good stuff.
Stagnation - There are parts where this doesn't sound like the same song.  Especially at the beginning.  The guitars are at the forefront, and except for Banks' solos, the keyboards are hidden.
Dusk - Sounds like the original, but the Banks and Phillips chorus vocals are much clearer.  And for the first time, you can even hear a hint of Gabriel in the chorus.  Excellent!
The Knife - some of the vocals are distorted during the "some of you are going to die" part.  Otherwise just a much clearer version, with the guitar solo being made even more awesome by the remaster.  Also Excellent!
The only two I'm not sure about are White Mountain and Stagnation.  Anyone else have the same reaction?
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Yeah I just saw that from another source.

Is it as good as the people participating imply it is?
