I'd like another slice of Garrett next time, sure. Guess I'm still hearing the echoes of the concert...

Thanks for the five pieces and for the half of the show. Cheers

If you not into Zappa , you may not get this band Mats Morgan - this one definitely taking the lead from Zappa's Jazz From Hell

Actually, was quite fond of that last piece... guess I probably need to expand my Zappa collection beyond Hot Rats.

I'm glad I stayed to hear it. Like it (slow in a small part, but kinda original in the middle improv)

Don't know the original. Really like this one, though, and it's nice to see a string quartet using a bit of the punch and rhythm those instruments can manage.

Not sure is the Return To Forever or the Stan Getz (also with Corea) version was the original

RTF is a must, Light As A Feather is one of my Holy Albums, and the rest of the early albums follow (less Romantic Warrior period or pre-period...).

Alright, I'll have to pick it up along with the rather extreme Hammill spree I'm planning on around Christmas.

Three German jazz fusionists in the first 30minutes, plus more from +1, Nima's new side project Merge Factory (somebody at last appears to be pushing trance to encompass other things other than repetitive tedium). Plus as I promised,   playing something from a new local band Black Report. Also a couple of illustrations of an intriguing approach to the vox humana by
Italian Boris Savoldelli. Something to celebrate the life of a wonderful drummer, MItch Mitchell who dies very young last week.
