"The best band Henry Cow never heard of"

"Who said France was romantic?"

I'm out for a while now, guys. Just finished my Stats homework and I'm going to go eat some lunch and take care of some other necessities.

Take care!

Shocked Not nearly as good??!!  'Casablanca Moon' is WONDERFUL.  It may not be RIO, but it's probably the best eccentric-pop-with-delightfully-witty-lyrics-and-Dagmar-on-vocals that you'll ever hear. Big smile  One of my favourite albums, period.

I prefer Non-Credo.

Although I admit they don't feature Dagmar.

So you like Slapp Happy but not so much Henry Cow?  That's weird.

It's more the other way around for me.

I would set it to 3.5/5 only though. I just don't like it as much as DS. Embarrassed

Hmm, 'Desperate Straights' is a bit disjointed for my liking, although I quite like it.  But I love 'Casablanca Moon'. Big smile  I got given a copy years ago in exchange for a tape of my own songs. Embarrassed  It's one of the few things I've ever heard that make me think "YES!!  That is what I want to do!!!"  A real inspiration, somehow...  That and the wonderful Sparks (Ron Mael is, when Christian Vander, Todd Rundgren and Frank Zappa are unavailable, GOD. LOL).

I'm here on and off, as I'm trying to accomplish some school stuff while also relaxing. Once I'm done with this album, I'll be gone again for a bit, and then probably back decently soon because I need to be on here to write an essay anyway.

Today is my 12 year anniversary with my current employer.  To celebrate we ordered out from the Grand Traverse Pie Company.  A French dip for me, and we ordered a banana cream pie.  Oh yeah, good stuff, and leftover pie for an afternoon snack.
