copyright isn't so hard, it just cost money, and you should probably hire a good lawyer if you're really dead serious about it. Although I don't really think it becomes a problem until you're signed to a label and have distribution.

No, it's not difficult at all. I have most of the form filled out and ready to go... what I need to figure out is the entity under which it is copyrighted for exact certainty. I also need to figure out if the band needs to be registered as a trademarked entity first before copyrighting the album as well. That's about it.

I'm not worrying about the lawyer.

You need rights for master recording and synchronization. I've got some forms around here that go through the process cryptically, i I find them I'll scan them and send them to you

Alright. Thanks! Big smile

Is copyrighting the same in Canada as it is over here, out of curiosity?

Good question. I can't imagine it would be too different ("famous last words" before a lawsuit LOL)

Oh man, I'm thinking of getting the rights to use the music... rights to protect the music might be something else entirely Wacko. I hate copyright LOL

Haha, that's alright. I've been researching more on it and I think I've got a good idea now. Just a bit more on one particular aspect and then I'll finish with my application. I'll work on that later.

Yes, I'm a HC fanboy beyond any shadow of a doubt. Tongue

My last.fm charts are slowly becoming more and more RIO/Avant/Zeuhl-ified, but I still love nearly everything just as much as I always have. I listened to Kansas's Leftoverture last night in order for a review as well... fantastic album. Clap

Of course. I listened to Trespass here the other day. Still a fantastic album! Clap

I can say whatever I want on Triskaidekaphobie and Ceux du Dehors, but albums like Foxtrot and Crime of the Century will always be in the same league as them (i hope..LOL)

Yeah, I know what you mean there. Henry Cow I definitely like more than nearly any other band though.
