I was going to link my review, but I see that your review was next after mine so I read yours instead.  It seems that we are on the same page with this one.  I have this one on my laptop, so when I am looking for a quick 30 minute dose of Rush I find myself hitting the play button and grooving along to this one.

I certainly hope for your sake Mike, that the feeling soon passes off...LOL

LOL. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone but a hardcore Rush fan, but I like this EP. I've got a bunch of memories tied to this album from back in 2004, which was such a great summer, so I'm mostly doing nostalgic reminiscing right about now.

This was actually the 3rd non-compilation Rush disc that I owned Wacko, and I f**king LOVED it back in the day EmbarrassedLOL

always found that a frustrating album, Eric... though have a soft spot for Cathedral Walls..Smile

Jared, I'll take this album over the two that bookend it: This Strange Engine and DotCom. The title track and "Estonia" save TSE, but I hardly ever listen to DotCom. I've never really had a problem with this one. "These Chains" display a great vocal performance by Hogarth. And "A Few Words For The Dead" is absolutely jawdropping.

E

hmmm... agree with you wholeheartedly over .Com  really awful album imho... but TSE I actually quite like, and would probably listen to it more frequently that Radiation...Embarrassed

...but what were they thinkin' with "Hope For The Future". Holy Mackilany!!!LOL

Oh, I agree with you wholeheartedly on that one... its just as excruciatingly embarrassing as ABW&H's Teakbois, isn't it?LOL

I remember Neil Peart saying that the worst track Rush had written was 'Tai Shan' off Hold Your Fire...

man, he's not nothing to be embarassed about in comparison, has he??....LOL
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I think the nostalgic memories would HAVE to involve a nubile young cheer-leader to get me to do that kind of reminiscing...LOL
