I only had a Tandy 1000 until I was 16.  We never had cabel.  Look, I don't even know how to spell it!
Nothing was directed at you, Epig -- I was looking back at page 1 of this thread.  (Just 'cause you're paranoid, it doesn't mean everyone's not out to get you.Stern Smile)

Anyway guys, read my most recent posts & relax -- but still, maybe give some thought to whether or not ridiculously high post counts are a good thing in and of themselves, or add weight to your words....

I'm much more of a mathematician or analyst than I am a writer. I do enjoy writing some essays, but when it comes to trying to express myself through a poem, review, or other manners similar... most of the time it's not as effectively satisfying. Doesn't mean it necessarily won't be satisfying though.

I LOVE writing. I have a really easy time expressing myself through words (moreso in my first language though). I highly enjoy it too. I sometimes write the insomnia nights away.

I don't enjoy reviewing albums that much either though. I feel like I'm doing a report. I like writing philosophy or poetry much more cause I feel free when doing so.

Nowadays, I feel that, if I get down to write a review, it will look like Mickey's (The Wizard) review of Tago Mago. LOL

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

I already know how I feel about the music, what analyzing I have accomplished, and all of the history behind it if I've heard it enough.

When I write a review, I feel like I'm doing it for someone else---and therein lies my lack of motivation.

I prefer expressing myself through writing than speaking, as I don't like social situations (generally).

As explained in my previous post, I don't have enough personal motivation to write reviews.

Nah, we're not complete opposites, since we both do everything in accordance to our personal satisfaction (the exact opposite would be someone who has no self), which is why I respect your views in that regard. It's just that we go about those ways very differently.

Goodnight fellow Canadian. (Shocked)

Take care.

And don't worry about the book. I read every single day of my life before going to bed. Wink

What I still don't quite fully understand is how we're both at a prog site. LOL

I suppose I understand it, but it just seems odd considering all the other differences. Confused

Speaking of reviews, there's one in particular I've been meaning to do for quite some time, so I might as well get started on it tonight while some thoughts are fresh in my mind.

Well, prog has many sides to it.

It can be totally chaotic (hmm Can) or really structured and rationnal (hmm King Crimson). So I guess prog fans can show the same differences.

That is true. I notice that my general mindset in some aspects also is a bit rare for liking prog, particularly in the realm of philosophy or politics.
