-Very interesting man Mr Lucas - get one of his compilation albums and discover the range of music he's into, I think so far you've heard me pushing the acoustic blues end. I find Gods & Monsters album - Lucas's second - the one with possibly the biggest range outside the compilations

Is it a bit odd having this pumped back to you from ~6000 miles away?

That's odd. These messages Prog Archives also go to my Yahoo e.mail address as well - from where I replied  back to you just before the start of t he show- I don't think that connection works (but doesn't tell me it isn't working). So to repeat the message lost in a black hole - the post man arrive 6.30pm tonight with your package (welcomed with many thanks!!!!)` - asked the postman why he was still working later : 'Christmas mail mate!!'

oh yeah - holiday mail is brutal.

B.Sue was a postal carrier here on the island for 20 years, quitting a couple of years ago because the US Postal Service work environment is hideously bad these days (bad management, emplyee screwing policies, etc - there's a reason for the term going postal LOL).

she used to both dread qand love Christmas because the mail is so heavy but people are conversely so happy to see ya!

pretty funny.

i'm glad they arrived and sincerely hope you like them. your friendship and support of our music is one of the nicest things to have developed over the last year for us Clap

i should warn you that some of the CDs have unusual tracking/cueing -  some intentional (PP stuff mostly) but if you count the name entries on the labelling, it's usually pretty obvious what's what. just the occasional odd thing (like "Party of God/Hezbollah" as listed on "Signal to Noise" is two tracks which segue... that sort of thing).

anyway, i do hope they give you some pleasurable listens, man!!!

this has been a wonderful show, too. i always hear lots of new things (like this that's playing now) and really love that. thanks for everything.

talk to you later. get some rest now, you've earned it, eh?

Samla Mammas Manna's Kaka is a good one to start, and also the only one that seems to be available in the UK most of the time - is this true of the rest of the world? Also note: to confuse their listeners, on some of their albums they spell their name differently e.g. Zamla Mamma..... .

I also suggest checking out another Swedish band, Mats Morgan, now on the US label Cuneiform.   Some of your music reminds me of theirs - try Thanks For Flying With Us, release ~2 years ago. However Mats Morgan are heavily influenced by Frank Zappa (I think the Jazz from Hell period).
