and who knew James Taylor had such a smokin' jazz quartet LMAO

clearly a DIFFERENT James from Baby James (who is also fabulous, of course)

Yep - I'm not a fan of PF so love others deconstructing their music. Normally one of the diehards announces a shred warningLOL

my name? pronunciation - ah so:

phonetically speaking it's

KIM-AH-RA (or KIM-ARR-AH)

SAH-JIN (soft J like in French)

my students used to pronounce it SAWGEN but that's not exactly right LOL

actually in Iran it's really more like SAH-JEEN  (like Sajid, a variant of the same surname)

does that help? it's hard to write this stuff down!

K

the soft J is like the soft G in the colour "aubergine" ...

sah-Gine (would be the correct pronunciation, which even i don't use LOL)

i say sah-gen ...

but enough about ME - this Anka version is hilarious (if swingin') - i didn't know he was still recording!

Been tuned in for about forty minutes, now, and I've liked everything I've heard so far (especially Godley and Creme, since I'm a great fan of 10cc). Absolutely loving this blues-torn-to-pieces thing at the moment. Good stuff, alleviates the history essay-related tedium.
