Magma can be sweet... and cuddly... and... kitten like...

It's just a side of them you haven't seen

Oooh, so Jared has met Rach and Melissa now too?

Me too!

That makes us equals.

How did you all get on?  Well I hope.  I also hope Jared showed you better company than I did with Melissa... oops!

Did all USians vote yet?  I did this morning.  Took only about 5 minutes, but my voting district is pretty small.

Not yet.  I am going to endure the long lines after work.  Although, if things go according to plans after work will be earlier than usual.

Scott, did I read that you just discovered King's X?  Or are the goblins in my head playing tricks on me again.  Wacko

That would be the goblins.  I've known King's X since Gretchen Goes to Nebraska and Over My Head.  I am going to see them play live in December and that will be my first time seeing them live.

Ah, don't know why I thought that.  My opinion, they should be in Heavy Prog, but it ain't up to me.  Wink

Also, you're listening to the one Thieves' Kitchen I have.

I tried the Heavy Prog route to no avail.  I tried prog metal.  I even asked the Neo guys.  I finally asked the admins if they would add them to Prog Related so that they would be on the site.  I'd like to see them moved to a full category, but it probably isn't going to happen.  But at least they are on now.  I've really enjoyed reading all of the album reviews so far, which for the most part have been very positive.

I saw that Thieves' Kitchens' Head album in newly ripped on emusic and I downloaded as soon as possible.  This is my first listen but I am really enjoy it.  They are 2 for 2 so far, which means I will have to look into getting their other two.

Well.  That's unfair scoring for the mice.  Who knows how many of them guys are running around and avoiding the trap.  LOL  But yep, tis the season where they are looking for somewhere warm to spend the winter.

You're probably right, but from my perspective, my wife heard one, and now one is dead.  The key is I'll have to get some more outside bait so that the entire lot will perish.  I'll probably have to call an exterminator one of these days to try and determine how they're getting in - I think I know the location, but not sure how to prevent entry.  Of course they might always find another way in.  Buggers.

I feel sorry for the ones that decide to make my house their home for the winter.  I very rarely have any food in it.  The poor things kind of get gypped.

I am hoping that it has the Halloween effect on the mice.  As in whichever ones spent last winter in my house goes out and tells its mice friends that they don't want to stay at my house, he never has anything good to eat.  Maybe get recommendations from his buddies on better houses in the neighborhood for him to stay at.  Kind of like let's skip this house he only gives out generic hard candy; we'll hit his neighbors house twice, they're giving out full-size Milky Ways.

We usually give out snickers, etc. (choc bars), but this year my wife switched it up and went with sour patch kids, nerds, swedish fish...got a much better response actually, the kids seemed happier to get those.  maybe everyone else is sort of giving out the same stuff and we had something different, I don't know.

I've spent the last few Halloweens with my sister and my 4 year old nephew, and now my 1 1/2 year old nephew, so I haven't been giving out candy at my house lately.  Before that I would usually give out snack size chocolate of some kind or another.
