This may already been brought up but Kanye West sampled a great deal of Can's Sing Swan Song into his song Drunk and Hot Girls earlier this year.

Notice that Damo Suzuki really does sound like he's saying drunk and hot girls.

What do you guys think? Wink

I'm also curious and interested in hearing other hip-hop/rap/dance songs or whatever that sample prog.

I'm also aware of this cover by Madvillain of Funny Ways by Gentle Giant and Quasimoto's use of a "Eat that phonebook coda" sample from Gong (check near the end).

You guys got any other?
Even if it may sound bad sometimes, those actually make me laugh. LOL

Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force copped the melody from Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express" for their hit rap tune "Planet Rock".  Rap group 3rd Bass sampled Peter Gabriel's Sledge Hammer for their rap tune "Pop Goes the Weasel".

I enjoy Madvillain.  I respect hip-hop as an art form, I just don't really consider it music.  Also, good hip-hop artists seem to be few and far between, although there are plenty out there if you know where to look.

Wasn't a tune from Collegium Musicum that had been used as a sample in some hip-hop hit? I also remember a bad "rap"-like version of "Owner of a Lonely Heart" which sounds ugly for both prog-fans AND rap-fans.
