I got myself one of these today - after having a numb lower arm for three days in a row last week from creating training material. Works great, once you get used to it.... now I can start working on my handwriting again Smile

I'm just calling in to the Shed to say how gutted, upset and devastated I am about the passing of Mike Baker...Cry

lead singer of Shadow Gallery, one of my favourite bands for the past decade... aged 45 from a heart attack...he had a fabulous voice... its far too young to go...

he was just about old enough to collect his Shed membership...Unhappy

truly heartbreaking...Broken Heart

Ouch..... missed that one, Jared. He was maybe not the greatest singer of all, but certainly one of the best. In the 90s I managed to get hold of all Rush, DT and Shadow Gallery albums. Guess I'll play them right now. Cry

I don't know Shadow Gallery, but 45 is too young, my condolences to his family and friends.
What?

Report from last night's Pendragon concert.

Brilliant

Brilliant.

Aye, it was pretty good. Get yourselves to Bilton tonight or The Peel next Friday/Saturday. Take all your friends with you and you won't be disappointed. We also had the treat of acoustic Magenta. What a superb voice! What a superb night.

I am going to have to show my ignorance here.
Embarrassed
I am not aware of this song but I don't believe that it was played last night.

I'm not expert, but I don't think its been on their regular set list in some time; that said, they will no doubt play it on one of the nights at The Peel, next weekend, when they will be playing much of their back catalogue...Clap

incidentally Angelo, I've just submitted a review for the Altona album, on the front page, like you asked.  Unfortunately, I don't think you'll like it very much...EmbarrassedEmbarrassed

Red Shoes is probably best described as "Rachel's opinion on Dutch cheese".... A very happy song, but definitely also one of the least complicated and least prog Pendragon ever did (in my opinion). I first heard it on 9:15 Live.

@Jared: not sure if I like the reference to me in the review, but I can see the reality of the review. I've still got my review still in the making, but their vocalist keeps blocking me from completing the it....

If Dorothy was around today she'd be clicking a mouse instead of her heels.

Would it be too pedantic to point out that Dorothy originally wore silver shoes?
What?

Not if it's correct.  I never knew that, although my mental image of Dorothy's shoes comes from the front cover of Eldorado by ELO.Embarrassed
