Hey Mike.  How are things in gloomy BC?  My buddies from HockeyTown, the Red Wings, are up there paying you a visit this weekend.

Blagh, grey and boring as usual.

Ah great, so your team is going to hand my team it's own ass in their hometown LOL. I have no faith in the Canucks. Although I do have a Red Wings banner kicking around somewhere... You should have followed the here, my place is a 10-minute skytrain ride from the rink Wink

I'd love to see Vancouver, but probably moreso during non-gloomy season.  Vancouver and Las Vegas were on last summers short list of probable vacations, but ended up going to Washington D.C. instead since it was driveable.  Reconsidered them this summer but went to visit my parents in Florida instead.

Haha, does no one realize how much spare time I have lately?
Honestly, instead of me posting so much in the SR, I could help out with this place.
I'm more than willing to help out with the band addition process for perhaps the PMT, just things like helping researching bands bios etc.

You just need to start posting more in the suggest new bands threads with your opinions on these Prog metal bands and less spamming in the Suede Room.

Well, I'll see what I can doThumbs Up
I guess I can drop some of PMT guys some PMs and find out how I can be of assistance.
The only problem for me is, in terms of discovering new bands, is that I have a pretty low monthly download limitThumbs Down so stuff like going on band's myspace pages or being sent links to band's albums to download takes a beating on my mediocre download limit, hence why I think I would be more suited to doing bio research to save the PMT time and effort than actual listening out for new bands.
I'm more than willing to do that and have the time, if it helps the site.
Prog Metal is not the only genre I could help out with, certainly I think I can be of assistance in perhaps certain heavy prog situations, since I've noticed my knowledge of punk is greater than a lot of the forum members here and of course, with heavy prog bands with a hardcore/post hardcore musical leaning, it's something I understand a lot better than many people here (not to sound arrogant, but I think people would agree with that).

I know that the Prog Metal team does have quite the backlog of bands that have been approved but need bios written, band pictures, and links to websites so that they can be added.  They could probably send some bands your way that need these items.

That's cool.  I don't know that I've heard that much Yes influence on their album.  I'll have to try and listen for that.

It isn't really evident I guess - but for Real he was totally going for the 20-minute Ctte epic. I suggested that he do a double-album TFTO epic and he said that it "would be the dream".

I'm not much of a coffee drinker other than on those morning when I REALLY need it, so you can have mine if you like.

Who's Omer Ephrat?

I've been out for Hallowe'en and I've come back looking like I've been beaten up. LOL

Just finishing up listening to King's X side project The Mob.  Doug Pinnick has such a great voice.
