I know organs go for very cheap around Aus, since no one wants them anymore.
I would have figured a mellotron would be almost worthless in Aus if they can't even sell organs.

Nobody wants your sexual organs though, Harry.  They're too small.

Yep, Mellotrons aren't cheap.

They haven't brought out a truly brilliant recording for 9 years.
9 freaking years.

I very much liked Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence too, but I agree with you there. Systematic Chaos just feels like DT by the numbers to me, Octavarium's first and last tracks were good but didn't hold up as well to their expectations besides that, and Train of Thought was pretty odd as well.

This last album will make or break my interest in future Dream Theater, to be honest.

SYSTEMATIC CHAOS: Dream Theater, business as usualThumbs Down
They went from mind f**k, to complete suck.

Cry

Prog Metal in general is very downhill lately anyway, hence why I'm looking out more for Tech/Extreme stuff now.

Speaking of Tech/Extreme, I just got an Arcturus album recently. I just started it but so far it's pretty kickass.

A post I made 2 or 3 pages back that I think you missed. Wink

Is it in here or the Shred Room?

Take it home, they're expensive. Big smile

Then play some Moody Blues on it.

Here's a novel idea, Hamish: try some prog with Mellotron in it

And, really, I didn't mean to be critical about the amount of spamming as if I'm getting on you guys or anything. Randomness is fine, I just didn't want things to go absolutely overboard; I hope you understand what I mean.

TBH, the references in the names in the Velvet Rooms were much more clever.

Hmm... I suppose. But at least now it doesn't really matter. Everyone seems to be content with the new policy.

Okay discussion.

Last night I listen to SFAM for the first time in about 3 months.
It was not bad.

That's definitely my favorite Dream Theater album. Thumbs Up
