^ Yeah, Pelican, the live one is really good. Must have been a great show! The album admirably showcases the band's trademark versatility -- the country-type numbers are great too.
 
At least you almost saw them live -- that's closer than I've ever come. I'm surprised to hear they're still active. Did they reform? Is Exene still in the band?
 
Do you have John Doe's solo album? Also great, also half punkish, half countrish.

^Peter, Yes, Exene is still in the band (god, can you belive John Doe is still alive).  Anyway, I was so disappointed when I was too sick to go see them.  They are a great  band!
