I though TMB was steep,but I'm being taken as a guest so......... but £650 ??? you could have a week in the Caribbean for that! ............hmmmm a week in the sun sipping cocktails on the beach or 2 hrs getting a cricked neck, squinting to see Mr Clappedout?

The galling thing is, it will sell out... over the hill he may be, but still a formidable musician on the right night, but what will he get when he plays (apart from a bloody great fat cheque )? A hall full of rich businessmen & their clients paying absolutely no notice to the music & only waking up when he plays Layla which even he has admitted he cannot stand playing anymore but the audience demand that he does so he tries to change it live but this never works & he has to keep the opening riff da da da da da da daaaa DA DA DA DA duuurr and he carries on lumbering through this old chestnut again knowing that as soon as the piano solo comes in the middle everybody loses interest (let's face it we lost interest at that point even in 1970) & wanders off to the bar or more likely on this particular show to the corporate entertainment suites which will fill the venue in place of any merchandise stalls (even if they were there a tee shirt would probably cost in excess of £100 & a sweatshirt would be the equivalent of Europe's GDP but thinking about it this is probably in negative figures now but thats another rant for another day so therefore a bad comparison anyway where was I? Oh yes...) and only returning to their seats when he announces on stage the obligatory special guest which is usually Phil Collins who will sit at the drums & play in the air tonight AGAIN to huge applause from the massed ranks of corpulent business people who think Clapton's playing an ironic version of a chocolate advert.



I definitely need that lie down now... or at the very least directions to the Ranting Room (sorry, it just feels so fitting to rant in the shed...)

yeah I'd give all that I have or ever likey to have to spend 5 mins with my Dad again........ but Eric Clapton? nah!

makes the sheckels to see the mighty Pendragon + additional Prog-Hag seem like a gift don't it?
