I like this band, but wouldn't be upset if they went with different vocalists next time.

Excellent album, my fave DP album from MK 2, and my 2nd fave all time behind Come Taste The Band.

Now:

I really enjoy this album. Though it's somewhat poppy. Fire in the Basemant rocks!!

I really like Sylvan.  They definitely fit my tastes perfectly.  I was kind of surprised the CalProg reviewers dissed them.  I really liked the lineup that they had at CalProg and I think that I would have quite enjoyed Sylvan's show.

I heard the live version of 'That's Why It Hurts' recently on one of my Podcasts and it sounded really good.

They're quickly becoming one of my favorite neo acts. They've really come a long way, too. Have you ever heard their debut CD Deliverance? Man alive, what a train wreck.

No.  I haven't heard Deliverance or Encounters.  I'd be curious to hear them, but it appears from your post that I might not want to be to curious. LOL

Encounters is good, but Deliverance just sounds bland. The last song, "A Fairytale Ending" is quite goofy with Shakespearean dialogue. Awfully strange.

Little chance this is going to make E-Dub want to spin Engines of Creation. LOL
