The Drapery Falls is my personal favourite but that's because it was the track that got me into them.

Oh, do play that one! I like that one! Good evening, gentlemen. I need music suggestions. Anyone? (No-one say 'Henry Cow' - needs to be something I have on CD...)

Western Culture.
You'll like that one!
But erm... I don't know your whole CD collection... did you ever purchase Zaar?
If not, play Ahvak.

Haven't got Zaar (yet?). Ok, that's one vote for Ahvak... (Harry Cud* related question: is Western Culture the one that's not complete on emusic?) *Ahhh, irreverent nicknames.

No, In Praise of Learning is the one that's incomplete, it's missing "Living in the Heart of the Beast". You might be able to get an mp3 of that for about $1 from ReR, but I'm not sure about this.
|
Oh, ok. Thanks. I will probably acquire 'Western Culture' when I get more downloads. Now I'm going to put on UZ, 'Ceux du Dehors' (I've had special instructions on that front...).

There's a CD that Melissa and James would listen to in my collection. I do have Heresie from UZ. It kind of sticks out like a sore thumb within my collection.

Yay, 'Heresie'! So far, I like that best out of the UZ I've heard. But I haven't really listened to 'Ceux du Dehors' enough yet.

Ceux de Dehors is my favorite. Still prefer Present to UZ.

I'm pretty certain that Heresie is the only UZ that I have heard. It was one of those impulse purchases when I went into a CD store that I don't normally frequent. They had quite a few used CDs that I don't normally see in the stores that I normally frequent. That was quite the expensive day, but I remember having some really good finds, including a Rush bootleg and a few Fish albums.

Heresie is not something even I'd want to listen to every day.

Earthquaking news: I got myself all UZ's (official) albums. I just haven't listened to 'em.

I'd ask you why you haven't listened to them yet, but giving the pile of CDs that I have but have yet to listen to I think that I probably know the answer.

Indeed. Plus, given that I'm listening "alphabetically" to the RIO/Avant music I currently have, I still have Henry Cow, Höyry-Kone, Massacre, Mr. Bungle, News From Babel, Opus Avantra, a Slap Happy album and one Tipographica before Univers Zero.

I liked 'Ceux de Dehors' a lot on this playing (not heard it that often so far). All the UZ I've heard thus far seems to require several listens before it makes much of an impression. But I also prefer Present! And on that note... I am off. Will likely be back tomorrow. Good night.

Univers Zéro worked straight away for me. Well, Ceux du dehors did anyhow, probably because I was familiar with 1313 and Héresie already.
I need to hear more Present, I have all their albums except the last two. That includes live ones.
Rico, as you're working alphabetically, who have you heard so far?
