Pat, I haven't finished my Heny Cow marathon yet. I've done the studio albums though. Concerts is next.
Oh and non-Sockian Cow are best.

What do you mean by non-Sockian Cow? Western Culture and other CDs are better?

Western Culture is my favourite.
I love Concerts.
Plus the new live one is awesome too.
I love sockian-Cow too but tracks like War are a bit weak.
Oh and Living in the Heart of the Beast is basically VdGG with Dagmar. In a weird way. It's amazing.

I don't like VdGG but I love Living in the Heart of the Beast. Plus, War is in my 5 favorite songs of all time. I love all Henry Cow equally, but In Praise of Learning is the one I'd choose if I was held at gunpoint to pick one.

You're listening to the wrong VdGG.
Living in the Heart of the Beast does remind me of VdGG.
You'll learn one day.

To be honest, I'm not sure. All I know is that there's the ambiguity of Leg End and Legend for their first album (the end of a leg being the foot... therefore a sock), but as to a story I haven't heard of one. I'd love to know though.

It doesn't at all for me. It reminds me of Henry Cow. Perhaps I'll like VdGG more some day, perhaps I won't. I can't say for sure.

It's the only track of theirs that does remind me of VdGG, mind you. Dagmar's vocal style is very Hammillian.

I love Dagmar's vocal style to pieces but Hammill has done nothing for me over the past year or two.

BTW Alex, the Mariah Carey answer in response to bleeding ears in the Psychology game was classic.

The only responses that might have been equal would have been Celine Dion or maybe Yoko Ono.

It would probably be best however, if we no longer evoke those names within the sacred walls and halls of Prog Archives.

Sounds like a plan. I'm listening to Watershed now. That definitely is one of their best.

You're going to see Opeth tonight? Do they have any opening acts?

Yep! For opening acts they have Baroness and High on Fire. I haven't heard either, so that should be interesting.
