Well, I'm proud to say that my students are as bright as ever Not a mean feat considering they had to go through a year of my classes...

I get a new batch of students next week - 14 in total. I'll let you know how bright the world's students are on average as it's an international programme.

My current class has 5 Brazilians, 4 Italians, 1 French, 1 Chinese, 1 German Greek (or possibly vice versa)
2 Spaniards, 1 Pole and 2 Turkish Kurds.
Quite homogenous compared to last year.

Now I feel left-out, 'cause I don't have any students to talk about.
However, I did do some support assistant work earlier this year, so I am kind of qualified to talk about students. Plus I have a PTLLS qualification. |

I'd just like to say I quite like Coheed & Cambria, although they do get a bit samey after a while.
Whatever happened to that nice prog-chick?

Her cover was blown, someone realised her "chick" days were well and truly over!!!! Besides a new lurker to the forum asked me who I was........ and I was a bit embarrassed (cos they know me) to say "Prog-Chick" after some not inconsiderable taunting I reverted to my real name. It makes sense really. I'm seriously thinking of going to see Co& Ca at the Astoria! |

I wouldn't - it'll probably be full of young adolescent male headbangers. Unless you happen to like that sort of thing, that is.

How many prog-wags does it take to change a light bulb?
More than one, thats for sure! We've got those stoooopid hallogen spots in the kitchen. When the tour started I had 6, I now have 2 (not near the cooking area either) and can I get the buggers out? Can I hell! I have cut the tops off my fingers, and am still in the dark! |

I am so glad it's not just me!
I have been cursing like a sailor! I have sliced the tops off 3 fingers, I will just have to cook in the dark until he comes home! |

ha! I'm pleased its not just me! Mine are all embedded in a high ceiling, for which I have to stand on a step ladder, with a paint stripper, to prize the sealant away first, before pulling the mechanism out to work on it. when I do, a combination of builders rubble and dead wasps from the loft fall on my head, while I try to prize the bulbs out of their holders...
