they've got a new lead singer now, and having reformed, are in the process of writing a new studio, which will (allegedly) be out next Spring... this can't come too soon, as it will be a 6 year hiatus between albums, and a lot of last night's set list still came from The Storm & Delicate Flame Of Desire....

anyway, I was sad for them that there was only aqbout 70 there, and we frankly rattled around a venue that size....

anyway, if you get an opportunity, they have several other UK dates over the next week or so:

14 Oct 2008 20:00
Robin 2 Bilston, Midlands

The Robin 2's a great venue - Vicky, Neil (Heavyfreight) and I have seen some cracking gigs there: Ozric Tentacles, Manfred Mann, The Grand Mothers, ReGenesis...I think we may have seen The Hamsters there a couple of times - we certainly saw them at the original Robin 1 in Merry Hill (Birmingham) which was another great venue (now sadly demolished)

^Ah, that explains the somewhat smelly, fatdripping package over there in the corner....

Hate to tell you by the way, Jim, but it looks like the first 4 hits in Google are location dependent. I get completely different results from you and Peter.... Wink

They really have spent a lot of money on R2 recently, having just opened an 8 room 'hotel' over Woody's Bar, so that gig goers from afar (like Great Yarmouth...Wink) can stop overnight...Smile

Not only do the first 5 entries on Google refer to me, but if you go into the 'Google Images' link, the first page also features a picture of my shed!

Just tried Google on my name.  Nothing about me until the second page and that's just a photo of me on a steam loco.  It appears that there are quite a few well known people with my name in the USA and they take up most of the hits.Confused
When people get lost in thought it's often because it's unfamiliar territory.

Yes, I had been meaning to ask...would you be related to the New Hampshire Heavyfreights??

I'm missing my boy, Cry   and a bit fed up really! I just stopped work (despite there being plenty to do!) about an hour ago and have been trawling youtubes pretty much for the last hour.
