"chavette" may be an English thing (actually I suspect Jim just made it up) but surely Max Mosely is an international figure?
All this is just an indication of how Jim's mind works.Smile

I "wikied" his name and I know who he is now - unfortunately only from the recent allegations of sexual depravity.

As it was going to be a rainy day today, yesterday I harvested some of my beetroot to make some chutney. Smile. Had a really good time listening to my Pendragon collection. Smile

A bit too much chopping of veg though Unhappy. Overcame the onion tears Cry by wearing my swimming goggles Geek. And I'll have to wait a few months for the flavours to infuse Unhappy. But the early signs are for a vintage batch of chutney. Big%20smile

As a motorsport fan, I'll field this one. He's the president of the FIA (Federal International L'Automobile, world governing body of motorsport) but is just a power mad a*sewhole with a penchant (sp?) for S&M.

I heard a rumour that they LOVE beetroot chutney at Pendie HQ Wink LOL

any ways.........

I've just been listening to Radio 2 (it's been since Sarah Kennedy this morning) for the last hour they've been having a BeeGees V. The Osmonds battle, I've been in heaven!

BeeGee's won, I voted for the Osmonds, but it's a close thing so I don't mind!

Never fear Jim, for you cannot be wikied!

<google> "Jim Garten wikipedia"

Although you are the most famous Jim Garten in the world, apparently - googling just your name yields progarchives for the top two hits.  Big%20smile

Did anyone see Harry and Paul last night? The Henley Northerner was a peach. Much LOL. Just one point of correction. Suvveners seem to assume that we preface nouns with a 't'. Actually we don't preface with anything - just a small pause. Which is why 'The The' haven't been here cos if the were to be introduced it would just be - Ladies and gentlemen...........

there's a certain degree in vanity in googling for yourself on wiki, but (out of sheer curiosity you understand), I did it for myself and came up with this wiki entry: "...Dean Cracknell and Simon Martin, who are both former Saints" Confused I don't remember being beatified, let alone any subsequent decanonisation.Evil%20Smile

Dean, can you talk about the decision to leave St. Albans City for Hemel Hempstead?

Sure Pat, no problem: It wasn't a difficult decision to make, but at then end of the day the decision was practically made for me, taking Watling Street to the M10 then following the M1 north to the A414 exit to Hemel wasn't really on the cards due to the current motorway widening works that are reducing the M1 to a carpark, so simply taking the Hemel Hempstead Road (A4147) all the way and missing out the motorways completely was the only viable choice. Which reminds of the great Half Man Half Biscuit song

'Out of sheer curiosity I dug up Logie Baird
And asked what petrified forests see
That makes them all so scared,
'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

Robert Wyatt, Gloria Gloom

LOL - we had a practise session with our band tonight. My bass teacher, who owns the place where we practise was there as well - telling us that he hired a new singing teacher for his school. I almost jumped through the ceiling when he told me who: After Forever's Floor Jansen....
