Welcome back Miss M. - just finished up Retrospektiw.  Big%20smile

(Alex: we'll continue talking in here, no point in parallel conversations.  Opeth should be a great show).

It should be; I'm pretty excited. I know David is even alot more excited than I am though. I'll have to go for an Opeth marathon for the few days before the show and become re-acquainted with Watershed as well.

Just got home from class not too long ago and ate lunch after that. I'm relaxing for now and also continuing my Tangerine Dream marathon. What's up with you?

I've picked up a couple of CDs here and there from Tangerine Dream, but I really haven't gotten into them as of yet.  Maybe one of these days.

Understandably so.

I'm doing pretty well myself. I'm glad to have it easier this week in regards to schoolwork, Opeth concert in 9 days, and I have fall break next Monday and Tuesday. I'm getting excited. Smile

Which CDs do you have? That might be a big factor depending on which ones they are. I have nearly 30 of theirs. Big%20smile

Shocked

Could it be this: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=52571&PID=2998980#2998980
by chance? Wink

That's quite a good choice as well. Clap

From TD, I have Architecture in Motion; The Dream Mixes; and, Rockoon.  I'm sure that these probably aren't the greatest choices from them, but I don't know how much that would matter with me.  I'm not that big on pure instrumental albums.  A strange thing coming from a prog fan, but I am a strange prog fan.

I have a Klaus Schulze album, but I'm not sure it's my sort of thing, really.

The choices will make all the difference there, as their eras all sound quite different, while still being TD.

Their best CDs are Phaedra, Rubycon, Stratosfear, and Force Majeure if you want their most representative period (70s).

Going into the 80s, Tangram, Underwater Sunlight, and Hyperborea.

90s: Turn of the Tides, Melrose

There are good ones too, of course, but those are the most essential ones. It all depends on what period you want as well. They have some really unique and good stuff, even if it is all instrumental and mainly electronic instruments. It's really good background music to which to study, work, or relax. Thumbs%20Up

Try listening to the first sample (or the first and second) here: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1295 and let me know what you think.

Despite being associated, Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze are actually very different. I have a few of Schulze's CDs... and while being quite a big electronic prog fan, they're not just my thing either most of the time.

See if the sample that I previously posted is more to your taste or not, if you want. Wink
