Sure... are you a native English speaker?

Nope.

Then you're allowed to make mistakes. What's your first language?

Koba... Romanian.

What, you're telling me UK people do jail for grammar mistakes? LOL

I'm part Romanian (1/4 or something). Don't speak any though.

Oh! Care to tell me more?

My grandpa's family was from Romania, but then they moved to Poland. I don't know too much more.

Oh, so a far relation...
Nice anyway!

I hardly know anything about my ancestry, other than I have some German in it and some English in it, and then maybe two specific qualities of it. I never did care much for finding out more.

I don't think I've got a special ancestry. Meanwhile, one of my best friends is half Irish, half Hungarian. bloody hell!!

Best caption I've red in a thousand light years.

I was actually just about to post that, no lie.

That's hilarious. LOL

And... being the nerd I am, I have to. Light year = distance, not time. Wink

It takes some time, though, to get from point A to point B in space, if the distance between is of a 100 light-years. Wink

But the light year is still technically the distance, not the time it takes for it travel. The time it takes would simply be measured in standard time, i.e. years.

I have to bring this question up, and you should remember the answer, Alex. What's the difference between rate and speed?

Speed is simply a scalar quantity (as opposed to velocity), a measure of an object's distance and the time it takes to get to that particular ending point from a specified starting point. One object in one dimensional unit.

Rate is a ratio. It may either be used by creating a relationship between two quantities that have similar units (meters and meters, for example) or between two quantities that do not, such as distance and time. Rate correlates more so with frequency than it does with an actual speed. One proportion of two different objects.

Correct! As a reward, have some of this.

Yeah, and that's coming from someone who wouldn't touch physics with a 50 foot pole. Tongue

PROG METAL SUX LOL

Tongue

At least DT has progressed, unlike say, Genesis.Tongue

*Awaits Rob's mudslinging*

They both are proving to progress into the same thing.

(crap) Tongue

Systematic Chaos... meh. Ouch
Octavarium only has the title track to save it.
Train of Thought is incredibly monotonous unless you're in the mood for it. Endless soloing and a impenetrable atmosphere. Doesn't mean it sucks though, I just hardly ever pull it out.

Their next one will make or break it for me.

Systematic Chaos is one of those albums that, unfortunately, takes a LOT of time and patience.
Octavarium I can understand.
ToT on the other hand, I've never understood what so many people have against it. I think the main problem is because people started the "DURRRRR SOUNDZ LIEK METALLICA" and that ended up hurting the way that people view it. I honestly would give it 4 1/2 stars (can't give it a 5 b/c it feels too long at times) and say it's a flawed masterpiece, similar to, say, Relayer.

Shocked

How dare you compare the masterliness that is Relayer with Train of Thought?!

You're comparing a 5 star album with like a 3 star album, maybe 3.5 tops. Confused

Indeed it is.

I was playing Leg End before, but I just started Angherr Shisspa. It doesn't need bassoon since it's so bloody epic. It would sound awesome with it though.
