I know, I'm tempted, but still can't think of a good handle ..can't be something obvious or I'll look like a noob (which i'm not, been researching it for over ten years)

I'm not a good multi tasker either, so sometimes I forget I'm doing something like being at a particular forum and leaving someone hanging or whatever.

Right now, I've got 6 browser tabs open, 4 forums, a wikipedia page and just other random browsing.

And a good user name for the JFK forum "I am can kill you".

^ great cut  ..got a copy of the FexAble LP I got when it came out in 86, and I think it was in an issue of GuitarPlayer as a 45 insert before that

no I think a good username would be N Beckley (the street in Dallas Oswald's apartment was on)

Damn you! Got to see him do that at your music school, that is awesome!

I've never actually caught a Vai gig per se, but I managed to get a ticket for the first ever G3 tour to Australia, so I managed to see the Melbourne gig.
Joe Satriani had some damn amazing guitar tones, Vai was hilarious as always too. John Petrucci did some very nice stuff with volume pedal swells prior to opening a ballad-ish kinda song.

I almost went to see g3 years ago..  saw Satch in 88 and got a great recording of the show, actually it's the best live recording of him I know, we used a small Sony cassette recorder with a stereo mic my friend hooked to his shirt pocket..  no one could tell and we got a really good tape of the show

Best Recording of him you know eh?
My fave Satch DVD is Live in San Francisco, just perfect.
He seems to have gotten even more flawless in his playing over the years, hasn't just stood still with his technique like many guys did (or went backwards, like Kirk HammettLOL).
He has always been my number one favorite player, to me his playing embodies all there is to playing the guitar.. technique, feel, control and a much better rhythm player than he gets credit for.

I'm more of a rock player, so Satch appeals to me a little more than Holdsworth.
I hate how Holdsworth excessively downplays his impact on the guitar scene and his playing abilities. The guy is a genius, but it's almost as if he is trying to be TOO humble, but it gets annoying, I wish he would just understand what a god of a player he is.
Uli Roth... hell yeah mang, one heck of a player too.
