Hmm, most alcohol doesn't do much for me... I guess I like lager but most of it is horrid.
I do like some cider though.
Not big on spirits though.

For the most part alcohol doesn't do much for me either. I've never been one to drink hard liquor or mixed drinks, other than on rare occasion. I'm more likely to drink beer, but even that is pretty rare these days. When I drank more frequently Killian's Red was my beer of choice, and that is most likely still what I will order these days.

Love beer and wine, don't really touch anything harder than that.

I've never really been big on wine. I generally drink a glass of wine at holiday dinners since that is what the hosts usually provide for doing toasts and stuff, but I don't really care for it too much.

Didn't get into it until a trip to Italy a few years ago, and somehow I just developed a taste for it instantly. Though I'm not having any until the baby is born as a small show of solidarity with Lisa, who obviously can't have any. I'll still have beer at home and she doesn't mind that because she hates beer.

Sounds like a plan. I'll show some solidarity with the two of you and not drink any wine either.

Vodka is evil. I don't drink it any more. Alas, someone dear to my heart drinks far too much of it.

Yeah, asking you your favorite drink was a bit insensitive, sorry.

I'd go along with that, Scott...
anyway, a very happy 'midday' to you, Patrick & Eric...

and this be the time of year 'round these parts...
I went down to Dunkerton's Cider Mill on Monday, and bought 3 bottles of their own cider (one dry. medium, fruity) and a bottle of their own perry....
worth every penny, being as they've replanted all the perry pear trees, which were abundant 100 years ago, but got dug up...

Hi Jared, Yes, It's twelve o'clock and time for lunch (hum de dum de dum...) ; to slightly paraphrase Genesis.
I read your bio this morning. Great job. I wrote mine a few weeks ago, but it isn't too much different from what I wrote in my opening post of my blog.

Just curious, Is the cider alcoholic or non-alcoholic? For that matter, do they make alcoholic cider? I suppose they do, I seem to recall people talking about hard cider. I went Sunday to the local Cider Mill and bought a gallon of Cider and a dozen cinnamon doughnuts. Good stuff.

I'm just curious to know...how did you know I'd just written it? Did you pop into the HP room?
Of course, you are always welcome in there, and I do genuinely appreciate you taking the time out to read it; I was just wondering whether it gets 'flagged' up anywhere, that one has just been written?
Yes, there are many similarities between us Scott, partly due to our age, and our consequent 'way into' prog... that's why we always have so much to talk about, despite me being occasionally bad tempered and too judgmental...

alcoholic Scott, my 4 bottles range from 6.8-7.5%, but apples in alcohol don't equate directly with grain...that would be about 5%...
oooh..cinnamon doughnuts... ...got any left?? can you send one down the wires??...

I saw your post in the HP room. I go in those rooms as part of my site monitor duties in tracking band status, etc...

well, thanks again for taking the time out to read it....I'm not sure why its taken me 3 1/2 years to write one, but the eventual catalyst was purely because I felt I owed it to David & Colin, to tell them a bit about myself...
