Jan Hammer's Hammond work on John Abercrombie's Timeless (and then Night) is a rare outing for Hammer on the instrument - but so individual and better than most, you want to hear more.

When Jens Johansson gets his finger out, his Hammond work is superior too - e.g. Jonas Hellborg Group's e.

Since Jean was the only one to mention her so far: Barbara Dennerlein! She is the only one who plays independent lines with the bass pedals; even Jimmy Smith didn't do that. He used the bass pedals, but not for independent lines.

If you don't believe Barbara Dennerlein is a Hammond Goddess, check out these videos:

And here a one hour concert of her on church organ, where she uses the pedals with both feet:

While he's probably not a "Hammond God" exactly, I personally really like the way Lars Nedland uses the Hammond in Borknagar (and Solefald). Very interesting to hear a Hammond in extreme prog metal, and he pulls it off well IMO.

'Jon Lord is the Jimi Hendrix of Hammond keyboards'
He's my favorite to date

Probably what you wrote is true. But it's really interesting inclusion of Hammond in this type of music. So yes, I must admit that Lars Nedland is a sort of Hammond God!
