E, Hard to say. I've only heard The RPWL Experience a couple of times now. It seems a bit heavier than World Through My Eyes, which is the only other RPWL album that I have heard. The Pink Floyd sound isn't really there as much as before, but there does seem to be a Porcupine Tree feel to it; just not the Pink Floyd-influenced Porcupine Tree sound. At times the singing goes pretty metalish though and that kind of made me cringe.
I have decided to listen to it again though to give more thought to your question.

Another listen reveals that this CD is pretty good. I still think that Porcupine Tree is probably the best reference. There are a couple of slower songs that do remind me of Pink Floyd but more of the Momentary Lapse of Reason variety. The song "This is Not A Prog Song" is really the only one that had some cringe inducing screams at the end of it. The rest was really pretty good.

Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention - We're Only In It For The Money. It seems like an appropriate album title given the failure of the HOR to pass the $700 billion buyout.
I'm not sure of the connection or influence that Zappa actually had on prog, but based on this album I can definitely say that he was instrumental in influencing the voices, characters, and humor of South Park.
