I love Gunface, and they're hilarious in interviews and such, they were really good, I just wish they had a longer set
Oh, did you get any other of their albums besides Prey for Eyes?

I got them all brother.
Clients is good too. Fused Together in Revolving doors isn't proggy at all though, but it's their debut, and for a death metal/deathcore album, I still like Fused Together a lot. |

Well I think, if you look at Fused Together or BtBaM's debut and expect to hear prog, of course you would be disappointed. I mean, if you look at BtBaM's debut from the perspective of deathcore/metalcore (which it really is anyway, it's not a prog album) then I tend to think it was better than most of the deathcore/metalcore that came out in the same year of BtBaM's debut. |

Yeah, but the reason I don't listen to those two that much is because I'm not a fan of metalcore..but you're right, it deffinitley kicks all other metalcore's ass (That I've heard at least)

The problem is the term "Metalcore" is too broad and in reality, the way it's tagged onto some bands doesn't make sense. I mean, you have bands which are fundamentally death metal bands being called metalcore simply because they have screams instead of growls, you have thrash bands being called metalcore because instead of James Hetfield vocals you have screams. Problem is, a lot of these bands are pretty much, 100 per cent heavy metal that just so happens to have screaming. Then you have say, Metallica's Kill 'Em All, which is clearly more punk/hardcore influenced than many of today's "metalcore" bands, yet Metallica was a thrash metal band and not "metalcore". See what I mean man, <Metalcore is sometimes just a lazy term used by journalists to describe modern metal that has screams instead of growls or classic metal vocals. |

I see what you mean.
I'd rather have growling or singing then that kind of screaming though, it just peirces my ears

I used to hate the screaming too. Even today, I still prefer growls or singing. It got to a stage where I thought "Well, I don't love screaming, but I have to accept it's part of the music and without it it wouldn't feel the same" so I ended up just getting used to it. In fact, it's no longer the screaming that annoys me about generic hardcore punk bands.. it's the music itself in a lot of them now. |

It's really annoying me that I don't have one because I find the vinyl sounds nicer than the CD or mp3 most of the time. |

Yeah, the way vinyl attenuates certain upper frequencies always imparts this pleasing warmth to the sound. I wish I had a player and vinyls to go along with it |
