Damn straight. Big%20smile

The British version is the original version and it pwns all other versions.

Besides, Steve Carell annoys the crap out of me. Dead

I never understood how anyone liked the US version.
It's probably because they hadn't yet seen the UK version.

Many elements of the UK version may not immediately be funny to our US neighbours though, Huggies.

Us Brits have a closer sense of humour to you Aussies, you see.

Most Americans don't understand Red Dwarf for instance.  Yet it's probably one of my favourite comedies of all time.

Yeah, I get you mean, but that still doesn't change the fact the UK version is, in fact, betterLOL

Red Dwarf is hilarious, but again, the way much of the humor is executed makes more sense to your average Aus/New Zealander/Brit than an American.

Yep.

That's why I don't always understand how Monty Python converted so easily... there's a lot of English jokes in their material as well.

But then I don't understand Friends...

I've met Americans who don't understand Friends as well. LOL

It's just not that funny. Confused

Friends, I don't understand because it's simply a crap show.

I tend to think, American humor is pretty much ingrained in all of us now anyway given how much exposure we all get to it, so I suspect unless it was a complete bogan that lived under a rock all day, I would find it odd if an Aussie or British person came up to me and said they didn't understand American humor.

I don't understand American humour.

I like The Simpson, Family Guy and Scrubs.

But they're not especially American to me...

There's some English humour I don't get either.

Like The League of Gentleman and much of Little Britain... Pinch

Yeah.
I love Family Guy too, kinda picked up where the Simpsons stopped being good.

I'm off for now though, got some stuff to think about and some guitar to practice.

Later dude.

Friends is annoying as hell but it's actually pretty funny, hate to admit, and the American 'Office' is reasonably funny, there's just no comparison to the original.. God forbid we ever try doing a Fawlty Towers

It wouldn't be called Fawlty Towers either.

It would be some terrible unwitty name like Brukken Hotel.

David, it's called Brass Eye.

As well as Jam and The Day Today.

Chris Morris is what it's all about!

Jam is funny and dark too.  I love it. Big%20smile

This is Channel 4. LOL

Check Google Videos, there's some excellent Jam clips on there.

Just be careful though... it's controversial stuff. Wink
