One song here, Third Alternative, has an intro that sounds like straight out of a King Crimson song - rather weird when the rest of that track is total Black Sabbath worship.

Definitely their most progressive album. It's a bit hampered by a really thin production, though.

Bought this album last week, a friend told me it'd be the album that would get me into non-Melvins grunge. And - surprise, surprise - despite a couple of weak tracks it's a pretty good serving of depressive rock. One thing, though, I have difficulty understanding why people who find most metal goofy would praise these dudes... Cobain's lyrics were as full of head-scratchingly bizarre metaphors as anything Ronnie James Dio or Sandy Pearlman ever wrote.

I don't mind weird metaphors in lyrics myself at all, though. Cool

This was available for free download on his website along with 3 other albums.  He is listed as progressive electronic, but other than maybe his first album I don't know if that label really applies. I would probably place him in prog metal.

Anyhow, if your interested you can download and judge for yourself.  http://www.scottmosher.com/music.html
