BBC4 on Friday 26th at 9:10pm, will be showing an hour of David Gilmour live in Gdansk followed by "Dave Gilmour:Gdansk diary" then the documentary "The Pink Floyd Story, which one's Pink?".
 
Sky Arts channel regularly shows Miles Davis performing. Next is Saturday 20th at 5:30pm
 
Sky Arts also has Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock at 9pm on Saturday 20th.
 
Mainstreet (Sky 260) has Cat Stevens "Majikat" at 6am and 8pm on Saturday 20th
 
Mainstreet also has "Live from Montreaux, Santana blues" on Friday 26th at 10pm.
 
BBC4 has "The Rock'n'roll years" 1968, featuring the Bonzos and Hendrix at 8pm on Monday 22nd
 
BBC4 has Martin Carthy & Friends (including Swarb of Fairport) at 11pm on Thursday 25th
 
Mastermind on Friday 26 September at 8pm includes questions about Steely Dan (will one be "are they prog?"!LOL)

Thank you soo much for reminding me that US mainstream TV stations usually suck when it comes to music. LOL
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

To those American folk, we have done without decent stuff on television for far too long until BBC3 and 4 came along..
 
Many times I have yelled at the screen when catching a glimpse of Weather Report etc on one of the cable stations.
 
Best thing ever was when Top of The Pops was taken off air!

Forgot to mention, BBC4 have "The Roxy Music story" then "Roxy Music live in Frejus" tonight (Friday) from 9pm.

Oh ****!  Well.. missed the Roxy Music thing !
 
Hate to go all political Akiko.. Higher taxes to pay for our health service etc..  Better standard of living in UK, but crap government.. hey you cant have everything I suppose LOL.

Today, 4th October Sky Arts have Zappa plays Zappa at 9pm (BST). The show is repeated later in the week.
 
Sunday 5th, BBC1 is showing part 1 of "The story of the guitar" at 10:50pm.
 
Marillion - Live in the studio, Thursday 9th October, Ditto Music Live, Red TV, Sky 180, 8:00 pm (UK Time)
 
Friday 10 October, BBC4 is showing "Legends: Guitarist Julian Bream" at 9pm this is followed by a "Guitar heroes" special of Later with Jools Holland featuring Beck, Guy, Clapton and Townsend.
