And here's why my opinion is worthless, because I can't even remember the test.  I'm sure it is a joke, and furthermore I don't think it has any impact on anything except...what was it called?  Merit Scholars or something, is that still around?

Taking the SATs as a sophomore would be more valuable, and I think if your scores end up sucking you don't have to report them if you take the tests later and do better.  But don't quote me on that.

I took the SAT's in 7th and 8th grades, receiving scores high enough to get a scholarship for 4 free classes at Drexel U. Do the PSAT's count for anything for colleges?

All that stuff seems like it was a million years ago - and it was more anxiety than was warranted.

Until I get accepted into college, I'm going to be freaking out a lot.

You will.  Put the work in now, it'll be worth it later.

Uni is more freedom and less grade-oriented. At least that's the case here in Sweden.

It does. He's just jealous because he didn't get National Merit Scholar commendation

The PSATs were somewhat difficult but they only matter for scoring in National Merit Scholar when you take it as a junior so the other times don't matter. It's decent practice. Study up on the writing section if at all, the format is a bit weird.
