	Only have In This Life and In Extremis, and I think I may prefer the former.

	I prefer In This Life too, although I have everything but "A History of Madness" - I thought it was a live or compilation album but perhaps I'm wrong. In Extremis is the one everyone recognised but it's a little stuffy at times.

	^^^A History of Madness is a studio release. Now I have the early years, which combines ...a thinking plague and moonsongs. I've been dabbling recently in RIO, and brought in all the Thinking Plague albums. So far, In Extremis has really grabbed my attention.

	I've only heard the most recent two. I love In Extremis, and I'm not really into A History of Madness. The main reasons are that the former is high in energy, and really fun, while still being challenging. There isn't much energy or fun to be found on the latter. I normally like my avant-garde stuff to be energetic, melodic to some extent and fun.

	Every album by Thinking Plague is generally a tough listen, atleast for me. Very atonal and experimental stuff. But that's the intriguing thing about them. Anyway, A History of Madness must be their best efford so fast. Propably their most complex work (?), full of interesting ideas.

	"In This Life" was the first Thinking Plague album I bought, from Chris Cutler's Recommended Records, so it'll always be the best one for me, but I rather like "Moonsongs" on vinyl as well as "a thinking plague"... I've only recently started to listen to A History of Madness and In Extremis, and haven't yet listened to Upon Your Houses...

	Just bought In This Life, and I must say it really has blown me away. Never really was a huge TP fan...enjoying about half of IE and Moonsongs. But damn...they really hit it out of the park with this one. Seems much more percussive and full/rich in sound compared to the others. Only one listen, but still...really really good. Should be top rated TP cd on the site.

	A History of Madness. It's darker, moodier and far more acoustic/chamber oriented than earlier, but Mike Johnson's songwriting really shines here nevertheless. "Blown Apart" and "Lux Lucet" are two of the best avant-prog compositions within the last 10 years if you ask me and the whole structure of the album is really refreshing overall.
	RIO/AVANT/ZEUHL - The best thing you can get with yer pants on!

	In Extremis, easily. I greatly enjoy them all though (except History of Madness, but that will grow on me in time I hope).

	We'll see. A History of Madness was one of those albums that I loved from first listen, whereas In Extremis did not live up to my expectations. In this Life is my second favourite.
