Sounds like two good areas to me. ![Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif) Admittedly, I'm not the biggest Prog Folk, RPI, or Canterbury expert. I don't know as much about Post-rock either. Those are probably the lowest ones, depending on how you split up the prog metal categories. To most people I know in person I have an incredible amount of knowledge about music... but when I get on here, there are just some categories I don't know enough about yet.

Well, I have two tests tomorrow, so it's time to get some sleep!
Good night, Suede Room.

Everything Dave Stewart did (in the 70s anyway) is pure gold. Egg Khan Hatfield National Health also guested on Steve Hillage's first solo effort Fish Rising (which is a mediocre album). The other major bands (as you know) are Caravan, Soft Machine, and Gong. I still need some of the more obscure stuff like Gilgamesh, Quiet Sun, and Moving Gelatine Plates. Tons of info in the Canterbury Appreciation Thread, if you ever have time to dig it out.

Post-rock = don't feel like exploring, owning one album by Godspeed! You Black Emperor (or whatever...) which I find extremely boring Post-metal = perhaps, even though the above would suggest otherwise Prog Metal = been there, done that. These days most of it bores me. Techxtreme = just not for me JR/F = absolutely, but need the right kind, which makes me kind of reserved. Progressive electronic = yup, but low priority Zeuhl = yup, but low priority RIO/Avant = yup, but low priority

I'll go through it, but by now I just need the big albums by the big names. And I'm quite familiar with those.

I've never been quiet about that, and made some comments that most certainly would have got me decapitated had the discussion been face-to-face.

My biggest "crime" ever is giving Lark's Tongues In Aspic three stars though. Something James and Rob never will forgive me for.

One of my first reviews ![LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) Haven't listened to the album in ages, but I think the rating remains the same. Now I really have to go. See you!
