Not surprising the biscuit tin's empty - 5 pages since Friday, three of which could be either discarded or transferred to the Suede Room. Bloody hell - kids everywhere, it's like a Stevenage 'family friendly' pub, Grrrrr.

At least there've been some proper shed type discussions though (I see even James has been back on Google to look up Flymo's history )...

Bosch Rotak 34GC Rotary mower

'The Bosch Rotak 34GC with the innovative Grass Combs that allow you to cut right up to the edges of your walls and paths for a neater finish. So no more need to get the strimmer out!'

• Bosch Rotak 34 GC wheeled electric rotary lawnmower
• Powerful High-speed Bosch Power drive motor 1400w electric motor
• Can cut grass up to 30cm long, so it’s ideal for the first cut of the season
• 34cm cutting width
• 10 cutting heights 20mm to 70mm with single central adjusting lever
• Metal blade for a superior finish
• Large 40 litre grass box
• Lightweight for easy manoeuvrability
• Two large carry handles

Hah!

Coincidentally, had to purchase a mower ourselved this weekend:

Flymo Roller compact 3400

34cm cut, 1500 watt motor (trumped, Lee - trumped! ), admittedly only a 29 litre grass box, but it does have a "vision window" so you can watch the grass being collected instead of where you're pushing a 34cm rotating metal blade - also folds really small, so takes up vitually no space in the shed.

On a different subject (before Lee starts getting all Freudian about relative grass box sizes), saw two of our friends on Saturday, both of whose sons (who we've known since they were about 8/10) have either moved recently, or are about to move... to places with gardens... and sheds.

The next generation is in preparation

What is going on with the economy and the Labour Party?  Everyone has gone mad! Wacko

Those young ones don't know what kettles are, 'cause they all drink fizzy pop.

MOUNTFIELD%20460PD%20POWER%20DRIVEN%20PETROL%20LAWN%20MOWER%20%28B&S%20ENGINE%29
4 HP Briggs and Stratton engine (~3000 watts), 48cm cut, 60 ltr grassbox.

First off... if you deface Zebehn he will totally rain down his fire upon you and, like, ya know, smite you, like srsly.  LOL

Second... don't show me pictures juxtaposing a young Christian Vander with cute children.  It's just too early in the day for that sort of thing. Wink

Aaargh I need a cup of tea....!

First off... never use "srsly" in The Shed, 'cause Peter will totally rain down his fire upon you and, like, ya know, smite you, like completely. Wink

And secondly, that's a cute child, not cute children.  I only see one child, not a multitude of them. WinkLOL  I think you need some new spectacles. Embarrassed

It is too early and too late in the day for me as well... I need sleep yet I need to go out at 1 p.m. Wacko

Harrumph!

I'm a Van der Graaf Generator fanboy.
Melissia is a Magma fangirl.

There's a huge difference there!

I do like Magma a lot but I currently prefer Koenjihyakkei.

Anyhow, is that a lawnmower coming your way, Dean? Shocked

Haha, I am only teasing with the precociously awful grammar. Wink

You only see one child...?  Not an exponentially expanding brood of zeuhlspawn...? Tongue  You are obviously not much of a visionary.  Get thee to Specsavers! LOL

Well, we can't have this.  Magma-drool in the Shed - I shall be persona non grata ere long.  So... back to the regularly scheduled lawnmower talk.

I can hear a lawnmower from here and it's likely one of those grandiose, flamboyant sit-upon affairs (gotta keep that cricket pitch tidy over the winter...).  Perhaps it is a Shed dweller on his or her way to deliver a swift reprimand to Yours Truly. Big%20smile

YES - THEY ACTUALLY RACE THESE THINGS!

The History of Lawnmower Racing

It may not come as a great surprise to learn that Lawn Mower Racing is in fact an English invention! It all began in 1973 in a pub called the Cricketers Arms, in the village of Wisborough Green in Sussex, where a bunch of guys were grumbling about the huge costs of getting involved in motor sports. They began to think of cheaper alternatives that could still be classed as motor sports, and in the end, they came to the conclusion that nearly everyone had a lawn mower, and so the sport and the British Lawn Mower Racing Association were born! Soon afterwards, a northern equivalent was formed in Manchester, the North West Lawn Mower Racing Association.

That's all very well James, but how do you ask for their CDs in HMV?

Talking of mowers, I've always wanted one of those robot mowers, so I can just sit in my chair and watch it cut the grass on its own.
