^ Ah yes, steam oscilloscopes - I remember them well, as big as a small car they were, full of dead spiders and vacuum tubes (or valves as we called them then) and they had chunky Bakelite knobs on the front that were always breaking off so you had to replace them with whatever you could find, like the tops off toothpaste tubes. Then the whole thing would breakdown every five minutes and you'd have to go and find another one to use to repair the first one. Mind you, they were as dim as two Toc-H lamps in parallel (Ermm "Pow R Toc H" ... the clue's in the titleWink), so dim you had to cup your hands around the cathode ray tube and peer into it to see the beam like the guy in

Jim, when you write "blissed out" you really mean "stoned out of their minds on ecstasy and sundry other mind-addling designer drugs," don't you?

By "people" you mean "welfare recipients, public housing residents, trailer dwellers, anarchists, n'er-do-wells, reprobates, street corner preachers, psychotics, escaped mental patients and perverts,' is that right?

When you write "dancing" you mean "trembling, twitching, retching, spasming, convulsing and falling down comatose," no?

Finally, "mud" is a polite euphemism for "a heady, thick and redolent melange of dirt, vomit, urine and watery fecal matter," right? Ermm

I go away for 10 days and look at the state of this place!!!

Bloody shocking!!!

There have been kids in the shed!!!

There's tagging everywhere.Pink wafer crumbs trodden in the new carpet and an incomplete knowledge of classical composers* in an a place that should be able to answer any upstart at the drop of a flat cap.

I know it's been raining a lot but you can dismantle the Ark from the front lawn... it's blocking out the light... oh...hang on, that's the VR, We Love Emo' banner...

Haydn lived in London for about two years.

Handel lived in London for more than forty years.

ErmmPC, by "fun" you really mean 'tedious and torturous beyond any hope of enduring," don't you?

And by "ha ha ha ha" am I correct in assuming you actually intend 'I'm thoroughly, completely, absolutely, teeth-gnashingly barking mad -- would you like to come in for a fig newton?"

Finally, I surmise that "Pendie weekend" actually signifies "plus-size marital aids, plastic hip joints and extra-capacity adult-incontinence diapers trade show."

Honestly, I don't know why you people can't just say what you really mean! Enough already of the coded Internet lingo! Stern%20Smile

hmmmmmmmmm, Confused Now there I was thinking it was the album launch of the year, complete with up to 5 hours of live & spectacular Pendragon celebrating 30 years along with 150 of the finest prog fans from across the globe (some of which are CAMPING- GULP!) all enjoying the soon to be world famous Prog-Roast (cooked by, ahem, the worlds finest chefsEmbarrassed ) and bidding huge sums of cash for completely unique and awe inspiring goodies from the Pendragon vaults. ............ but you may be right, incontinence might feature in the weekend somewhere!
LOL

I can't keep up with this.  Every time I log on there are about three more pages.  I'll have to get one of those Raspberry things with t'internet on wireless.  Do they do them steam powered??

Still shows, though, Fanny's appetite for composers that chose London (Britain, more globally) for their second half of their lives (including the "shedding" ultimate period). Big%20smile
