Since yesterday's night the forum has been extremely slow, to the point that I had to wait 5 minutes for a page to show.

Is it just me?

BTW: Other sites are working normally.

Sometimes , it may occurs for different reasons.

Like: High number of users on the forum , same time

But, in the coming months , some server upgrade will occurs to limit these slow loading times.

Thanks for reporting.

Thank you for replying despite you're travelling if I'm not wrong.

Yes -- im a in Hong Kong now, leave for mainland China tomorow and back to more stable life in Kuala Lumpur on Sept. 18.

But, as you can see, I am still looking after the site anywhere in the world ;-)

In case it helps, one particular thread in the general discussions "A cause of infidelity" (previously called "Porn") seemed to suffer most. I wonder perhaps if the thread title attracted a rush of search engines!?

I had a major problem earlier on with page loading times, & this was with MS Internet Explorer, but when I switched to Firefox, I had no problems at all.

Don't know whether this is relevant or just a coincidence...

Ivan's not alone, yesterday the forum was slow like never before.

Who are you and who am I to say we know the reason why... (D. Gilmour)

I believed the same thing Jim but in the office I have all the computers with Firefox (I can't pay the Microsft license for 10 PC's and the people from Copyrights check us every month, it's funny, but those who pay taxes are the ones more checked), and also had the problem with PA.

But  now it's working fine.

Not a coincidence.

Firefox 3 (my browser of choice) renders pages faster than IE 7, and the addition of things like No-Script and Ad-block speed up loading times too.
